Tivimate Setup Guide for IPTV (Android TV / Fire Stick)
Step-by-step Tivimate Premium setup for IPTV on Android TV and Fire Stick, including EPG, recordings, and multi-screen layout.
Updated 15 April 2026

Tivimate is the gold-standard player for IPTV on Android TV and Fire Stick. The UI is clean, the EPG loads in under a second, recordings work, and there are no ads. The free version is enough for most users; Premium (CHF 20/year, one-time CHF 30) unlocks multi-playlist, recording management, and a few extras.
Step 1 — Install Tivimate
On Android TV: open Google Play, search "Tivimate IPTV Player", install. On Fire Stick: enable Apps from Unknown Sources in Settings → My Fire TV → Developer Options, then install via Downloader app using the APK URL provided in your subscription email.
Step 2 — Add your playlist
- Open Tivimate. On the welcome screen choose "Add Playlist".
- Select "M3U Playlist" → "Enter URL".
- Paste the M3U URL we sent you on activation.
- Tivimate fetches channels and EPG. First load takes ~30 seconds.
Step 3 — Optimize playback
Settings → Playback → Default player: ExoPlayer (best stability for HEVC streams). Buffer: 5 seconds. Network buffer: 30 seconds. Hardware acceleration: enabled.
Step 4 — EPG & favorites
Settings → EPG → Update interval: every 12 hours. From the channel list, long-press your top 10 channels and add to a "Favorites" group for one-press access.
Step 5 — Multi-screen
On Tivimate Premium: long-press the home button → Picture-in-picture for live sport while you do other things. Useful during halftime score-checking.
